The Air Force is developing plans for the Minuteman-IV Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. The current Minuteman force will need replacement in a decade or so. The Pentagon wants the Air Force and Navy to agree on a new rocket motor, but the Navy doesn't plan to buy a new missile at all, only to upgrade the C4 and D5 missiles. Work on a new cruise missile, however is stalled while the Pentagon and Air Force review numerous options.Stephen V Cole
