In the United States, the FBI has
arrested a South Korean man and accused him of spying for South Korea, against
North Korea. The man, Park Il Woo, has lived in the U.S. for twenty years and
has been on the FBI radar for over two years. Two years ago, Park insisted, to
the FBI, that he was hostile to the South Korean government because they had
executed his father (for being a communist), and that he simply helped out
North Koreans. Park also offered to use his connections to serve as a conduit
between the U.S. government and senior North Korean officials he knew.
At this point, it's unclear who Park was working
for, which may be why the FBI arrested him.
