The Army is awarding medals for the victory over the Y2K Bug. Project managers are being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, while those who spent at least a year in the battle can receive the Army Commendation Medal. Troops who worked more than two months on Y2K projects and made a significant impact will get the lower Army Achievement Medal. Others involved in the campaign will receive certificates or souvenir coins to reflect their part in the victory.--Stephen V Cole
