The British Parliament, noting that the British government allowed arms sales to Zimbabwe even after that nation was known to have become involved in the Congo Civil War, sold "certain items" to China that may violate the EU ban on arms sales to that country (the government says these are subject to interpretation), and recently relaxed the arms export ban to Pakistan, has demanded that the government give Parliament more control over the issue of arms export licenses.--Stephen V Cole
