  In the south, local government gunmen clashed with a local warlord who had provided support for al Qaeda. For were killed and eight arrested. 

Pro-Taliban men continue to threaten (often anonymously) music shops, and schools that educate women. Not a lot of violence has resulted, but these threats are making people nervous.
