China has ordered 20 Sokol active phased-array air defense radars from Russia's Phazotron company. The Sokol can detect targets 180km in its forward hemisphere and 80km in the rearward hemisphere. Sokol can track 24 airborne targets and guide weapons against six of them.--Stephen V Cole
