The Chinese military finished a week of military exercises in the south. Over 100,000 troops and the latest Russian built warplanes were given a workout. These exercises are normal, but were given more publicity this year. Interestingly, papers are also being allowed to run military strategy stories praising the use of terrorism against enemies. Books and articles have been written in China since September 11, 2001, praising the attack in New York as an excellent example of how a weaker nation should attack a stronger one.
