The US has agreed to sell spare parts for M113 armored personnel carriers and AH-1 helicopters to Pakistan. Arms sales to Pakistan were halted when Pakistan conducted nuclear weapons tests, but this is a special exception. The parts will be used only by the Pakistani military brigade which is deployed on UN peacekeeping duty in Sierra Leone. --Stephen V Cole
