 Hostile tribesmen attacked an army convoy in Waziristan, leading to a battle that left a dozen dead. The army has blockaded the roads used by hostile tribes, and sending patrols into the territory normally controlled by these tribes. The tribal leaders are under pressure to give up al Qaeda and Taliban members they have been sheltering.
