UN weapons inspectors interviewed an Iraqi nuclear weapons scientist. The Iraqi insisted on having government witnesses present during the interrogation and apparently didn't provide any useful information.

The Israeli government says it believes that Iraq has hidden some of its chemical and biological weapons in Syria. This is possible, as there is a lot of truck traffic (not all of it legal) between the two nations and Iraq has seen to it that Syrians, and the Syrian government make lots of money via trade (legal and illegal) with Iraq. Iraq uses the same tactic with Jordan and Egypt, thus insuring Iraq has many "friends" in these countries.
