Palestinians are demanding that Israel release all 6,000 of the Palestinians arrested during the three years of violence. Israel says it will not release anyone convicted of murder or who belongs to a terrorist organization. Israel has to be careful with releasing prisoners, as in the past, released prisoners were later caught engaging in attacks on Israelis. This was political dynamite and the Israeli voters were quick to react at the next elections.
