Three Abu Sayyaf members were captured in the south. One of the three was know to be an Abu Sayyaf commander. The three were plotting a bombing campaign in the southern city of Zamboanga. Also in the south, the army continues to attack MILF camps, in retaliation for earlier MILF attacks on army patrols. The renewed fighting, and lapsed ceasefire, will be discussed when peace talks begin again on October 8th.
